Cleaning master.
We have no cleaners.
When you book a cleaning company you never know in advance what you will get — because the word “cleaner” promises nothing. So we introduced a title that does promise something: it is earned through proven skill, not by signing a contract.
What a cleaning master is
Cleaning master is our internal title for a colleague who has completed the induction period and proved four things in it: above-average cleaning skill, the ability to organise her own work, teamwork and mutual trust.
Trust is the hardest of these to measure and at the same time the most important. A master works in spaces where she is often alone — in someone else’s home, in an office after hours. We entrust her with the keys, the space and the company’s reputation. And she trusts us to keep our word on schedules, on pay and on support when she needs it. It works both ways, or it does not work at all.
The title is not a job position. Nobody receives it on signing a contract. It is earned through work done.
Why separate it from the word “cleaner”
Cleaner is an occupation, and there is nothing wrong with it. The problem is that the same word covers very different levels of skill. Someone who drags a cloth across a table and someone who knows why marble must never be cleaned with acid are called exactly the same thing. For the client they are not the same at all — the difference shows at the very first clean.
This is where most bad experiences with cleaning companies begin: the client cannot know what she will get, because the word promises nothing. We introduced the title cleaning master to give that difference a name — and to make it something you can check.
What a master knows that cannot be learned in a day
- The right order of work. From the ceiling down, floors always last. Anyone who starts at the floor cleans it twice — and the job takes twice as long.
- Recognising materials. Natural stone, solid wood, lacquered surfaces, grout, induction hobs and stainless steel all need different products. The wrong choice causes damage that no amount of cleaning can undo.
- Dosing the products. More product does not mean cleaner. It means streaks, marks and a surface that gets dirty again faster.
- Judging what a space needs. A master does not work from the same checklist everywhere. She reads the space and adapts the work to what she sees.
- Discretion. In homes and offices she sees things that are none of her business. Masters working in the Prestige segment are bound by a confidentiality agreement.
How the induction works
A candidate first works alongside an experienced master. She learns our order of work, how to handle materials and the standard by which a job counts as finished. This is not a course with a certificate — it is work in the field, where it quickly becomes clear who notices what others overlook.
She earns the title when she can do the work on her own and when we know we can rely on her.
And here we are honest: not everyone gets it. Some realise during the induction that this work is not for them. With others it becomes clear that their precision or reliability is not at a level we could defend in front of a client. In that case we do not continue working together — our paths separate.
It is not a pleasant conversation, but it is a necessary one. There is no intermediate level here: whoever stays is a cleaning master. If everyone who completed the induction were given the title, it would mean nothing.
That is exactly why we can say it plainly: when a cleaning master comes to you, it is no accident.
Why they are paid far better than the average
Because it simply strikes us as fair. Whoever works far better than others should also be paid far better than others. It really is that simple.
Cleaning is work that many people underestimate — often including those who book it. We do not. We know how much knowledge, physical effort and precision go into a space that ends up looking as though nobody had ever touched it. And we know exactly who does that.
Our masters are not a line in a cost table. They are our colleagues — people we talk to every day, agree things with and sort problems out with as they come up. An honest relationship means a great deal to us, because without it the work is not good either. Anyone who feels that nobody listens to them does not leave that behind at a client’s door.
So proper reward is self-evident here, not something you have to fight for. Anyone who makes the effort and works well feels it — without explanations and without waiting for an annual review.
And the reward is not always money. Sometimes it is a trip together, because what you experience side by side settles differently than a line on a payslip. This summer part of our team went to the Dino Merlin concert in Sarajevo together.
And hand on heart — it pays off for us too. People who feel respected stay. That is why we do not have a constant turnover of staff.
What this means for you as a client
- A vetted person comes to you. A master who completed the induction to the end — and who gets to know your space, your materials and your rules without you having to explain them every time.
- Quality does not fluctuate. The result does not depend on who happens to be on the rota that day.
- Delicate surfaces are safe. Stone, wood and designer furniture get the product that suits them.
- Less checking for you. You do not have to verify whether the job was actually finished.

Is cleaning your thing — and does it bother you when a job is only half done?
Then we will probably get along. We are looking for ambitious, hard-working people who enjoy seeing the difference — whether you have years of experience behind you or are only just starting out.
With us you get an induction alongside an experienced master, a team where people help each other, and pay that is far better than the industry average. In return we expect reliability, precision and an attitude to work that a client can count on. We do not hand the title out — you earn it through work, and that is exactly why it means something.
Write to us at info@2clean4u.si — tell us briefly who you are and why the work interests you. We reply to everyone.
