Grounds maintenance — common questions
What is your hourly rate for grounds maintenance?
The question is understandable, but it misses the point. An hourly rate makes sense when you hire labour: someone comes for a set number of hours, you tell them what to do, and you are responsible for the result.
With us you do not hire hours, you order grounds maintenance with an agreed result. The price covers everything that takes: the work of our own crew, our own mowers, blowers and tools, and removal of the green waste, insured liability, and taxes and contributions.
That is why an hourly rate tells you nothing useful about the price. With the right machine an area is mown and tidied in a morning; with unsuitable equipment the same job takes two days. With hourly billing you carry the risk — if the job takes longer, you pay more. With an agreed price we carry it.
The price of grounds maintenance depends on the size, slope and layout of the area, the height of the grass at the first visit, how often it is maintained, and the amount of hedge trimming. Send an inquiry with the address and the approximate size of the area — we will prepare a price per visit or for the whole season.
How often do you mow and maintain the grounds?
In the growing season usually every 1–2 weeks, off-season as needed. Frequency is adapted to your grounds and wishes.
Do you remove the green waste?
Yes, removal and proper disposal of grass and cuttings is part of the service.
Do you maintain apartment building surroundings?
Yes — for buildings where we clean the entrances we often take over the grounds as well, so residents have everything with one provider.
Do you work in winter?
Yes, by arrangement we provide winter service: snow clearing and gritting of paths and car parks.
Who does the cleaning if I book it together with this service?
The cleaning is taken over by our cleaning masters — a separate, specially trained team that you book with the same call, and whose schedule we align so there is no waiting in between. Each master earns the title through an induction period and an internal assessment. Because they work far better than the industry average, they are also paid far better. What if something gets damaged during the work?
We hold public liability insurance with Allianz — up to EUR 150,000 per claim. If damage to your property occurred despite all our care, we file the claim ourselves and the insurer covers it; you do not have to arrange anything. In practice this happens very rarely, but precisely because the cover is in place, it is not something you need to think about.
