What if something breaks? Liability insurance up to €150,000
It is the question almost everyone asks themselves before letting a stranger into their home for the first time — and one that hardly anyone says out loud. So let us say it: yes, something can break during cleaning.
Our industry keeps quiet about it.
We would rather tell you openly what happens in that case — and why there is nothing you need to sort out.
The question everyone thinks and nobody asks
A cleaning service works right in the middle of your things: the glass table, your grandmother's vase, the parquet, the natural-stone worktop, the painting on the wall, the TV. Work done by hand, with water and with machines — in a space that isn't ours. However experienced, systematic and careful we are, a small risk remains. And a provider who claims that "nothing ever happens" to them either doesn't work enough or isn't telling the truth.
So the question is not whether something can happen. The question is who bears the consequences — you or us. And that is precisely the question most providers answer with silence.

What exactly we have in place
At 2clean4U, our work at clients' premises is covered by liability insurance with Allianz, with a sum insured of €150,000 per claim event (with a double annual aggregate). The policy is permanent — it applies at all times, not just to a single project — and also includes employer's liability.
What this means in practice: if, despite all due care, our work causes damage to your property through our fault, the insurer covers it. Not "we'll sort something out", not "we'll knock something off the invoice", but insurance with a clear sum. And €150,000 is an amount that covers the truly unpleasant scenarios too — not just a broken vase, but damaged parquet throughout the flat or an expensive stone worktop.
What happens if something really does happen
The procedure is simple, and there is nothing in it for you to do:
- We tell you ourselves. The cleaning master who caused the damage reports it immediately — to you and to the team leader. The rule is clear: we don't hide damage and we don't wait for you to notice it. That is part of the trust without which there is no cleaning master title.
- We document and file the claim. We photograph the damage, record it and report it to the insurer — we do, not you. All communication with the insurer is handled by us as well.
- The insurer compensates the damage. You fill in no forms, make no calls and do no negotiating. Your only task is to tell us what was damaged.
In practice this happens very rarely. But precisely because the procedure is settled in advance, you don't have to think about it — not before the visit and not during it.
Insurance is the last safeguard, not the first
Honestly: insurance is no reason to be less careful. It is the last safeguard in a system that has several layers before it.
The first is the cleaning master: nobody goes out to a client at 2clean4U without completing an induction period alongside an experienced master and passing an internal test.
The second is knowledge of surfaces: most damage in our industry is not caused by breakage but by the wrong product or method — too much water on parquet, an acidic cleaner on marble, a coarse sponge on acrylic glass or lacquered wood. Our masters learn this before they first set foot in someone else's home.
The third is continuity: the same vetted person comes to your home, knows your space — and knows which cupboard sticks and which shelf is slightly tilted.

Proof of insurance for property managers and companies
If you are a property manager, a company or a facility operator, you don't need insurance just for peace of mind — you often need it on paper. We provide clients with a certificate of insurance on request, and all the company's official details can be found on our Company information page.
Three questions for every provider
If you are comparing quotes, this article gives you a simple tool. Ask every provider three things:
- Are you insured for damage at clients' premises?
- Up to what amount?
- Who handles the claim if something happens?
A serious provider answers in one breath — with numbers. If the answer is "that doesn't happen with us" or "we'd sort something out", know that the risk is yours.
Why we write about this at all
Because cleanliness is the basics of our work — what really matters is trust and responsibility. Clients trust us with their keys — and it is not unusual for a cleaning master to be handed the keys to a flat worth several million euros.

Trust like that has to be earned with people, with a system and with insurance that covers everything should anything ever fail. That is how we sleep soundly. And above all: that is how you can sleep soundly while our people are in your home.
The result is a 5.0 Google rating from 36 reviews — without a single lower one.
